jiu jitsu is for everyone
Nothing is going to prepare you for a sport, besides the sport itself.
A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step
Many people want to 'get fit' before starting jiu jitsu. Nothing is going to prepare you for a sport, besides the sport itself.
Whether you are looking to learn to defend yourself, lose weight, become agile, flexible, and / or strong; or simply to break the monotony of going to the gym - Carlson Gracie Karachi is the place for you.
Everyone at the club has been a complete beginner and experienced what it feels like to come in and not know anything about Jiu Jitsu. This humility is what gives us a great learning environment where team members help and encourage one another to improve.

We begin each session by lining up in grade order and offer a very curt bow to signal the beginning of the session.
At the end of each class, it is customary to line up and repeat the short bow plus a handshake or fist bump in an orderly fashion.
During sparring, it is customary for the less experienced/graded pair to yield or give way to the higher graded pair, if there is a likelihood of colliding.
Tap! Do not muscle your way out of a bad situation or imminent submission. Tap and learn.
Please inform the instructor of any injuries as soon as possible if sustained during training.
No use of aerosols or sprays inside our facility please.
-
Please ensure your kit is clean and freshly laundered. Ensure it is washed after each and every training session. This includes your belt! (Tip: Soaking with a cup of vinegar before washing kills all those unwanted smells.)
No shoes on the mat. Ever.
Please sanitise your hands and feet before stepping on the mat.
Please ensure your fingernails and toenails are cut short and filed. Stepping off the mats, you must wear the appropriate shoes/slippers. This includes toilet breaks!
If you are feeling unwell, take a rest from training. Don’t be that person that spreads contagious illnesses. If you are unsure about any skin condition or spots that come up, please speak to an instructor.
